Board Of Director: Mark Alexander
Mark Alexander is carrying on a family lineage following the lead of Father, Joe Alexander, and brother, Sean, in the family business of Alexander Racing Enterprises and 32 years of credentialed driving experience with the primary focus on the Triumph Marquee.
Father Joe became enamored with Sports cars in the mid-50s as part of the post WWII greater interest, in many cases, those returning from the war time effort having gained exposure to European racing, drivers, and those cars campaigned.
A first memory of life started in the Paddock at Road America (picture old Pagoda and wooden pit-lane canopies). Many summers were spent traveling from his hometown in Iowa, wedged into the jump seat of a 1966 Triumph TR-4A and later a 1969 TR-6 to the magical sights, sounds, and smells of sports car racing while watching his dad also participate in gymkhanas though-out the 1970’s and 1980’s. This was the start.
Jump forward to the early 1990’s and a forward leaning brother decided racing was the next step. This resulted in being credentialed in 1992 while in parallel, the initiation of product production with Alexander Racing Enterprises.
This family affair now is pursued with nephew Brendan and Mark’s 2 adult children, Kensington and Erik. Many life-changing associations have been realized in the vintage racing circles which would have never been possible without this family lineage and dedication.
Mark served as co-chair of the 2023 Kastner Cup at Road America and now supports the 2025 Kastner Cup Committee. He is incredibly honored to be associated with the British Sports Car Hall of Fame in the curation of these marquess, recognition of drivers, both amateur and professional, current and past, dedicated industry leaders and team personal and, of course, those enthusiasts keeping this history, on the roads and at events.
